TRACK PROFILE ENGADIN SKI MARATHON

The Engadin Skimarathon is known for its relatively "easy" course profile. Starting in Maloja, the race begins with a flat and fast stretch across the vast frozen lakes of Silsersee, Silvaplanersee, and Champfèrersee. This is a unique part of the course that offers fantastic views and a chance to quickly find your rhythm.

  • Marathon (42 km): The course has a total elevation gain of approximately meters and a total descent of meters, which means that overall there is a slight net drop in altitude. After the lakes, the course passes through the Stazerwald (Staz Forest) towards Pontresina, and then continues down through the valley, past Bever and Zuoz, to the finish in S-chanf at meters above sea level.

  • Half marathon (21 km): Half marathon participants start at the same time as the marathon runners in Maloja and follow exactly the same fast, initial route across the lakes. The race then finishes in Pontresina. This is the perfect distance for those who want to experience the unique atmosphere and fast skiing across the lakes, but with a shorter overall race schedule.

Whether you choose the full challenge or the half marathon, the Engadin Skimarathon guarantees an unforgettable tour through the breathtaking Swiss alpine landscape!
